The Colorado BOCES Association (CBA) is launching a membership-driven strategic planning process to create a shared vision and actionable roadmap for the future of our statewide organization.
We are asking for your participation and voice to help ensure that the next chapter of CBA reflects the needs, priorities, and aspirations of BOCES across Colorado.
This is about strengthening CBA’s support of BOCES , amplifying our collective voice, and building sustainable, innovative opportunities for the students and communities we serve.

How to Get Involved
There are several ways to contribute to the strategic planning process:
Complete the CBA Member Survey
Your insights are vital! Please take 5–8 minutes to complete the CBA Member Survey and share your experiences and ideas.Participate in Focus Groups and Interviews
Invitations will be sent for virtual and in-person focus groups based on your role and region. These conversations will dive deeper into how CBA can best support you.Stay Engaged through Regular Updates
We will share progress at quarterly meetings, through email updates, and here on the website.Celebrate Milestones Together
As we move through the planning phases, we will celebrate our collective progress — leading toward the unveiling of a new Strategic Plan in summer 2026.
What’s Next
June 2025: Survey launch and focus groups begin
July 2025: Work session to gather Executive Director feedback during the Annual Meeting in Glenwood Springs, CO
October 2025: Engagement report shared at membership meeting, develop core values and beliefs, review mission statement, and develop practical vision for the strategic plan at the Fall Quarterly CBA meeting
February 2026: Revisit the work already completed, identify blocks and barriers to be addressed, and develop the strategic directions for the CBA Strategic Plan during the Winter Quarterly CBA meeting
April 2026: Draft Strategic Plan reviewed at the Spring Quarterly CBA meeting; implementation planning continues through June 2026

No — feedback is focused on CBA, not individual BOCES. However, we do want to hear how CBA can better support your local BOCES’ needs and success.
